The Okavango Delta
The Okavango Delta is one of the last untouched wilderness areas in the world. It is a vast ecosystem created by the Okavango River that flows from the mountains in the Angolan Highlands, all the way into Botswana, finally spilling out of an inland delta that never reaches the ocean. The plains flood seasonally bringing huge amounts of water into what would otherwise be a desert.
These lush plains create an incredible habitat for wild animals including Lions, Leopards, thousands of Elephants, Buffalos, Antelope and amazing bird life.
