Mombo Camp boasts eight raised, spacious luxury tents connected by walkways with private, comfortably furnished decks that offer astonishing views. The beautifully appointed rooms have separate lounge areas, a wardrobe, a dressing room, and an en suite bathroom replete with elegant copper bathtubs and indoor and outdoor showers.
Spectacular Game Viewing
Mombo has an enviable location on Chief’s Island and boasts some of the most diverse permanent wildlife populations in the Okavango. Dominated by big cats, such as lions and leopards, this exceptional area offers guests the opportunity to experience thrilling predator safaris. Visitors can look forward to frequent sightings of the iconic Big Five, the rare pangolin and the honey badger with luck. This island is home to abundant birdlife such as eagles, vultures, raptors, bee-eaters and the rare wattled crane.
Wildlife and Conservation
Passionate about returning the white and black rhino to the Botswana wilderness, this camp is part of an ongoing project that began as a joint initiative between Wilderness Safaris and the Botswana government. The Rhino Monitoring Team is based at Mombo. Guests can enjoy learning about these important initiatives and the many ways Mombo strives to protect the unique and ecologically significant environment.
