Time + Tide Chinzombo Lodge is named after a type of tree that grows near the camp. Natural building materials and vintage accents have married modern style with all the best that a traditional bush camp has to offer to bring guests the ultimate luxurious bush experience. This boutique lodge consists of only six villas which appear to float off the ground, tucked into the forest canopy. The lodge also features a charming, alfresco dining terrace, and central fire pit surrounded by cosy, comfortable couches. There is something for everyone at the lodge, including yoga and spa facilities, a private plunge pool, shady decks for reading and armchair game-viewing, day and night drives, guided walks, and there is even the option of a cultural visit to the local village.

The Rooms

The lodge comprises of five luxury safari tents and one luxury family tent (two bedrooms, two bathrooms), each nestled beneath ancient msikizi trees. Each unit has a private pool and soaking tub with views over the river. The interior designer has managed to incorporate a modern design ethic whilst retaining the spirit of old-world African charm.

Spectacular Game Viewing

Time + Tide Chinzombo Lodge is fortunate to be in one of the most game-rich areas of South Luangwa National Park. Guests are spoilt for choice when it comes to enjoying the local wildlife with the option of a boat trip across the river with one of the experienced guides for a game drive, a walking safari, or boat cruise to lap up lion, leopard, and other predator sightings.

Conservation

The Time + Tide Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the tourism company, Time + Tide. They facilitate educational and economic opportunities for some of the most vulnerable residents in the surrounding areas by designing and managing academic and developmental programmes along with parents, schools, women’s groups, community caregivers, and a wide variety of local stakeholders. The foundation is also committed to protecting the threatened wildlife and habitats in the area. In Zambia, they support local conservation management organisations in and around national parks in terms of anti-poaching, environmental education, human-wildlife conflict, and rehabilitation efforts.
