Sossusvlei Desert Lodge consists of ten beautiful stone and glass villas, carved into the escarpment. Each one is spacious, air-conditioned, has a private verandah and plunge pool, and a living room with a fireplace for chilly nights. Each room has a large retractable skylight above the bed for maximum enjoyment of the night sky, and an ensuite bathroom with a glass-encased rain shower offering 180º desert views. The two-bedroomed Star Dune Suite is an ideal option for families or groups of friends.
From &Beyond’s greater conservation model down to the tiniest details of the activities that take place in all their lodges every day, including Sossusvlei Desert Lodge, every decision made revolves around the group’s core ethic of Care of the Land, Care of the Wildlife and Care of the People.
What We Love
The lodge borders an International Dark Sky Reserve, so the stargazing is exceptional. We love the fact that guests can lie in bed and fall asleep watching the stars.
