Sossusvlei Desert Lodge is an architectural beauty made of glass, rock, and steel. It has a split-level communal guest area with large fold-away glass panels for maximum enjoyment of the sweeping desert views. The guest area also offers an island bar, a comfortable lounge to relax in, a rim pool, and a modern observatory complete with a resident astronomer and a state-of-the-art-telescope.

The Rooms
Sossusvlei Desert Lodge consists of ten beautiful stone and glass villas, carved into the escarpment. Each one is spacious, air-conditioned, has a private verandah and plunge pool, and a living room with a fireplace for chilly nights. Each room has a large retractable skylight above the bed for maximum enjoyment of the night sky, and an ensuite bathroom with a glass-encased rain shower offering 180º desert views. The two-bedroomed Star Dune Suite is an ideal option for families or groups of friends.

Where To Find Sossusvlei Desert Lodge
The lodge is a 400km (248mi.) drive from Windhoek and a 380km (236mi.) drive from Swakopmund on good quality gravel roads. A one hour 15 minute fixed-wing or a one hour 30-minute helicopter flight from Windhoek, followed by a short ten-minute road transfer to the lodge. Private charters to the lodge’s private airstrip or self-drive options also available.
