The Rooms
The original manor house has six beautiful rooms; the interiors have been lovingly updated for guests’ comfort while fastidiously maintaining its 1930s character and charm. The rooms all have ensuite bathrooms and are exquisitely decorated, each telling a unique story, with original Art Deco elements and antique furniture. The Garden Manor, which also has six rooms, is imbued with the same charm as the original and was created using reclaimed materials from the period in which the original manor was built. Guests can look forward to the unique experience of feeding giraffes from their room windows or balconies.
Dine With the President Heard of Giraffe
Enjoy a close encounter with the world’s tallest mammal. The manor is named after its resident herd of endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, who usually visit in the morning and evening. These majestic creatures join guests while they dine by poking their long graceful necks into the windows in the hope of a treat before retiring to their forest sanctuary
Relaxation and Shopping
Guests can unwind in the verdant gardens within the manor’s grounds, swim in the infinity pool, be pampered at the wellness centre or explore the shaded surrounding suburbs which offer several acclaimed local craft centres, some lovely boutiques and fascinating museums.
What We Love
The Giraffe Manor is committed to wildlife conservation. Don’t miss a visit to the AFEW (African Fund for Endangered Wildlife) Giraffe Centre which educates school children about their country’s spectacular wildlife and environment, alongside their breeding programme for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe.
