Simbavati Hilltop Camp guarantees an unforgettable, exclusive and authentic African Safari experience. It’s unique vantage point offers magnificent views overlooking the Nhlaralumi River and the distant foothills of the Drakensberg Mountain Range in the distance. The camp boasts pavilion-style luxury suites arranged to create a village feel, private indoor/outdoor showers and spectacular views of the African bushveld. The Rooms
The 8 luxury tents are specifically situated to afford privacy for guests to enjoy the serenity of the surroundings and the outdoor showers. Each suite comprises two tents, one for the main bedroom and one for a separate ensuite bathroom featuring an indoor or private outdoor shower experience. Every safari tent offers either a king-size or twin-beds with a private viewing deck as well as a luxurious daybed. Families or groups are welcome with an exclusive-use lodge rate on offer.
African Safari experience
Hilltop Camp offers an array of game-viewing activities in the early morning, afternoon and evening, when wildlife is most active. Enjoy a game drive led by an experienced field guide and Shangaan tracker in an open 4X4 safari vehicle and spot hundreds of bird species in this birding paradise and wildlife photographer’s dream.
Big 5 Encounters
The Timbavati Game Reserve is home to the renowned Big Five. Guests can experience world-class game drives to spot the best of Africa’s wildlife. Encounter nocturnal creatures, including the big cats, with regular sightings happening on night drives, and track and find over 40 other mammal species as well as endangered species including wild dogs and cheetah.
