Upon arrival, the scene is set as guests are led through the tranquil, historic gardens towards one of the deluxe farmhouses or cottages. The beautiful Gibb's Farm exudes a sense of rich history while offering guests a luxurious and rejuvenating experience. It is one of the oldest lodges in Tanzania, dating back over 100 years and spanning generations. The spacious accommodations include 17 free-standing private cottages and two farmhouses perfect for families. All of which offer cosy, open fireplaces, ensuite bathrooms with full bathtubs, indoor and outdoor showers. The interiors boast classic colonial charm with a sense of its history combined with tasteful modern touches.

Experience a Historic Organic Farm

Gibb’s Farm is a model for sustainable and environmentally respectful practices. Historically a coffee farm, today it grows 90 per cent of its own organic fruit, vegetables, flowers, herbs, and beehives, a dairy and a piggery, ensuring guests a healthy, nourishing and delicious culinary experience. Gibb’s Farm offers a wide range of activities, adventures and opportunities to explore including a daily vegetable harvest, a morning baking class, feeding the pigs, milking cows and collecting freshly laid eggs.

A Rejuvenating African Spa or an Enlightening Community Test

Treat yourself to the Maasai-inspired treatments in the spa, all of which use indigenous plants and shrubs such as the Arabica coffee scrub. Where To Find Gibb’s Farm

Gibb’s Farm is conveniently located along the main safari route from Arusha to the incredible Serengeti. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Tarangire, Lake Manyara, and Lake Eyasi national parks are all in close proximity to Gibb’s Farm, making it the perfect stop on any Tanzanian itinerary. This exceptional location is just 56 kilometres from the stunning, game-rich Ngorongoro Crater – considered one of the world’s great natural wonders. Visitors can explore the conservation area with a two-hour hike to the Elephant Caves and view the thousands of flamingos and 350 bird species at Lake Manyara.
